Awards, fun times at annual chamber of commerce gala

The theme was Bond, James Bond, as the Murphy Chamber of Commerce honored its members at the annual awards gala. More than 100 chamber members and family attended the event held Friday, Feb. 3, at Hyatt Place in Garland.

The chamber named Rich Baker, Farmers Insurance – Carolyn Weeks Agency, as Ed Williamson Ambassador of the Year; Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Gill, Countryside Smiles, as New Member of the Year; Bobby Tillman, SpecialWebs.com, as Volunteer of the Year; and Elise Peek as Member of the Year.
