by | Jan 28, 2023 | Sports

The Lady Panthers are one win away from a playoff berth after beating Lewisville Friday night.

Plano East is now 7-4 in District 6-6A, tied with Flower Mound for third place with just three games remaining. Sema Udo and Destiny Jones were in double figures for the Lady Panthers, with Udo scoring 14 and Jones adding 12 in the 60-27 win.

Along with the victory, Plano East’s Idara Udo eclipsed 1,000 career points for her Plano East career. The senior who signed to play at UTSA next season has been the top scorer for the Lady Panthers all season.

East travels to Plano next Tuesday. A win would clinch a playoff spot officially for the Lady Panthers.
