Members of Murphy city boards and commissions were appointed last week by the city council.
The appointments were made during the Tuesday, Dec. 6, regular council meeting.
Boards and commissions advise the council in several areas of city government. Members serve on a volunteer, non-paid basis.
Appointed to the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee was Anne Fraser Matthews, Jaskiran Kaur while Tammy Drake was reappointed.
Named to the Board of Adjustments was Don Bryant along with alternates Bruce Phelps, Faizan Sarfani, Jerrold Gearhart and Anesa Abraham.
Reappointed to the board were Ketan Parikh and Amanda Turner.
Joining the Building and Fire Code of Appeals Board is Tracy Cooper and Greg Matocha was reappointed.
Appointed to the Ethics Review Commission was Mathew Lukose. Reappointed were Pat Brown and Kristen Bishop.
Two members, Valeda Logan and William Tenney were appointed, and one was reappointed, Nadeem Kahn, to the Murphy Community Development Corporation board of directors.
Serving on the Murphy Municipal Development District are new appointees Bernie Khan and Christine Johnson. Reappointed were Hema Muthanchetty and Angeli Pinaga.
Three members of the Parks and Recreation Board — Michele Foley, Robin Reeves and Diana Cain — were reappointed.
