The first day of school for Wylie ISD students is Thursday, Aug. 11, and officials remain hopeful that COVID-19 will not disrupt the school year as it has in recent years.
Amy Hillin, health services coordinator for the district, said she expects cases throughout the school year, however, guidance and directives from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) have not changed.
