Plano ISD board of trustees approved the 2022-23 school year budget during June’s regular meeting, with the tax rate to be considered in August.
Johnny Hill, deputy superintendent for business and employee services, presented the budget to Plano ISD trustees.
Hill said the budget is broken into three portions — the general operating fund, which covers teacher pay, maintenance and other day-to-day costs; debt services, used to pay debt issued by the district and food and nutrition services.
