WISD discusses budget

by | May 16, 2022 | Education

Dozens of students were recognizing students for their accomplishments, which took up a majority of the Monday, April 24 meeting.

The Skills USA team at Wylie East High School, Wylie High School and McMillian Junior High were singled out for hard work at the meeting. WHS boys basketball, and the WESH All-State Band, All-State Jazz Band and All-State Choir were also among student groups honored.

After the recognitions, an information item concerning the budget was presented by Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations Scott Roderick.

“When we start talking about our budget, we always want to take Wylie ISD board goals into consideration,” Roderick said. “That is to manage growth and provide functional equity, financial responsibility and assurances for all student’s needs.”
