Residents who take Tae Kwon Do at the Murphy Community Center got a unique opportunity last weekend.
The Tae Kwon Do students were able to test their skill in front of the school’s master, who was visiting from Topeka, KS.
Instructor Samir Dandekar invited his instructor, Grand Master Chae Sun Yi, to the promotional testing ceremony, held Saturday, April 23.
The testing began around 12:30 Saturday, April 23, with a skill demonstration, including breaking boards.
“For promotional testing, each belt, starting at white belt, they have to do what is called ‘Form.’” Dandekar said. “It is a choreographed set of movements they execute.”
