Schedule set for Plano East football

Football season is around the corner for the Plano East Panthers.

With spring approaching, the Panthers will gear up for a new season filled with plenty of intrigue. While Plano East did not have any changes from UIL’s realignment, they welcome a new era under head coach Tony Benedetto. He’s tasked with turning around a program desperate for playoff exposure in one of the most difficult districts in the entire Metroplex. 

Here are the football schedules for Plano East football in 2022 (home games in italics):

Plano East Panthers:

Week 0 – Thursday, Aug. 18 vs. Highland Park, TBA (Scrimmage)

Week 1 – Friday, Aug. 26 @ Rowlett, HBJ Stadium, 7 p.m.

Week 2 – Friday, Sept. 2 vs. Naaman Forest, 7 p.m.

Week 3 – Friday, Sept. 9, vs. Rock Hill, 7 p.m.

Week 4 – Bye week

Week 5 – Friday, Sept. 23 @ Plano, Clark Stadium, 7 p.m,

Week 6 – Thursday, Sept. 30 vs. Hebron, 7 p.m.

Week 7 – Friday, Oct. 7 @ Flower Mound, Wilson Stadium, 7 p.m.

Week 8 – Friday, Oct. 14 vs. Coppell, 7 p.m.

Week 9 – Friday, Oct. 21 @ Plano West, Clark Stadium, 7 p.m.

Week 10 – Friday, Oct. 28 vs. Lewisville, 7 p.m.

Week 11 – Friday, Nov. 4 @ Marcus, Marauder Stadium, 7 p.m.
