P&Z approves site plan

A tree ordinance proved difficult to fell in the last Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

The Murphy Planning and Zoning Commission held three public hearings and considered a site plan approval during the March 28 regular meeting.

The commission considered a site plan approval for a three-story building that would allow retail shopping in the first story and residential apartments in the second and third.

Development of the site includes a number of tree removals.
