Signage is important, especially when a new business comes to town.
The Planning and Zoning Commission held three public hearings and considered a sign variance for Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea during the Feb. 28 regular meeting.
The sign code was revised in 2017 to only allow two signs per tenant in business districts in the city, Director of Economic and Community Development Jared Mayfield said. The applicant requested a variance allowing a third sign on the north facade of Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea, which faces Lowe’s Home Improvement.
