Improvements to Travis Farm Parks and North Hill Park were officially unveiled to Murphy city staff, elected leaders and residents last weekend.
The first reopening ceremony was held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at Travis Farms Park.
“I just can’t say enough about the improvement to the park,” Public Works Director Tim Rogers said. “I know it’s tough getting through the construction aspect of everything and I want to thank everyone for their patience.”
Improvements include walking trail connectivity, said Rogers, which extends along the perimeter of the park and additional amenities, including a small playground and a zip line.
Rogers said there are plans to install benches along the trail, but they have been delayed because of shipping issues.
