Hoping to bounce back after a loss, the Plano East Panthers responded in a big way with a district victory.

Traveling to Coppell (3-1, 16-9), Plano East (3-1, 21-2) jumped out to an early first quarter lead and won 54-45. Muizz Qazi scored 12 points and Brandon Hardison added 11, as the Panthers held the Cowboys to just nine points in the fourth quarter to hold off the comeback attempt.

Plano East and Coppell are now tied for second in the District 6-6A standings. The Panthers will host Marcus this Friday.
