The Plano East girls basketball team won its first district game 45-25 over Hebron.
East got off to a fast start in the contest, leading 30-11 at halftime. While the offense without starting guard Kayla Cooper staggered at times, Donavia Hall, Nora Ritchie and Ada Anamekwe did enough to right the ship. Hall led all scorers with 15 points, while Anamekwe added seven and Ritchie had six points.
The Lady Panthers are now 10-1 on the season and 1-0 in District 6-6A play. They’ll host Lewisville on Friday.
