Panthers cycling young talent in secondary

With the optimism at the Plano East football program this summer, it’s easy to feel excited about the team.

One area where the team is continuing to evaluate its options is in the secondary. With a number of new players taking over roles at safety and cornerback, the Pan­thers look to retool this group around a more experienced front seven.

“We have a strong group up front and a defensive coordinator in coach Camp we really like,” Head coach Joey McCullough said. “We need our guys in the secondary to also help in our number one goal, which is stopping the run. From there, it becomes preventing big plays.”
