Panthers defensive line shows promise

The Plano East Panthers football team is relying on an inexperienced group on the de­fensive line.

That inexperience doesn’t equate to a lack of talent, how­ever, as Plano East head coach Joey McCullough thinks the talent on his defensive line can bring the Panthers’ defense back to prominence.

“We’ve got a group of young guys on the defensive line I be­lieve are capable of doing the job and do it very well,” Mc­Cullough said. “We’ve had an incredible spring and offseason. It might be the best I’ve seen from our defense in the spring during my time here and we’re excited to see this group.”
