It was like old times at the Wylie Opry as former patrons gathered together for the first time in 15 months to listen to music and say hello to old friends.

A record number of attend­ees, around 175, came from Greenville, Celeste, McK­inney, Mesquite, Rowlett, Rockwall, Farmersville, Blue Ridge — along with a few from Wylie — for the reopen­ing of this iconic country mu­sic showplace Saturday, July 3, in downtown Wylie.
