Murphy and Wylie are two of the top safest cities in Texas, according to a recent study by SafeWise.
Murphy was ranked seventh and Wylie finished at 20, said SafeWise, which does research on home security.
“This is a great accomplishment for the city as a whole,” Murphy police Chief Arthur Cotten said. “It all starts with great citizens who stay alert and report suspicious activity. Murphy has a great team of professionals that take service to heart and are proud of such a safe city.”
