State reports 11 COVID deaths, 673 new Collin County cases today, Wednesday

The Texas Department of State Health Services released updated COVID-19 information for Jan. 27.
All counts, except for hospitalized cases, are compiled from the TDSHS website.
State officials listed
11 deaths and
738 new cases of COVID-19 in Collin County and are reporting a total of
60,378 confirmed cases to date.
Today, the state is also reporting
4,670 active cases and a total of
55,708 have recovered in Collin County.
Through today,
550 have died from COVID-19 related illness in the county.
Collin County officials reported that
509 are hospitalized with COVID-19,
16 more than yesterday.
A
decrease of
56 hospitalizations throughout the state were reported at
12,795 of which
3,580 cases,
five fewer than yesterday, were reported hospitalized in North Texas.
