by | Dec 31, 2020 | Latest

A Wylie woman was arrested after she crashed her car into a home on Christmas morning in Murphy.

Vanessa Hernandez, 25, was taken into custody on a charge of suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to Murphy police, after she ran her 2008 Nissan Rogue into a home in the 600 block of Tall Tree Drive. She was taken to Baylor, Scott & White in Wylie for her injuries. She was treated and released, a BS&W spokesman said.

Just after 1:15 a.m., Murphy Police dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reference about a vehicle that had driven into a home on Tall Tree Drive.

Murphy Police and Murphy Fire Rescue responded and found a 2008 Nissan Rogue inside the home. The car had been driven through the front window of the home and into two separate bedrooms, Murphy police said.
