Lock down: Plano East defense nets two district wins

Coming out of a daunting non-district slate, the Lady Panthers girls’ basketball team needed a win.

One of the popular picks to win the district in the preseason, Plano East struggled out of the gate against tough opponents to an 0-3 record with some cancellations. To get in the win column, it would have to come in district play.

That’s exactly what the Lady Panthers did, using a tough defense to notch their first two wins of the season in beating Hebron and Lewisville.
