Faithful volunteers help post, take down 100 flags on Veterans Day
Veterans Day 2020 was not unlike many others, except perhaps a bit more private and personal, as public celebrations limited attendance to keep our veteran’s safe.
In Murphy, a small army of volunteers posted 100 flags Nov. 11 as a tribute honoring those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. In the past, the flag tribute was a service that the Exchange Club of Murphy provided for six patriotic holidays. Although this club is no longer operational, the patriotism continues.
