Plano East faces difficult opening matchup against Allen

After months of social restrictions and cancelled events nationwide, Texas high school football is finally back for your favorite 5A and 6A programs. Included in week one are Wylie, Wylie East and Plano East. While not everything will be the same, the season is sure to be as fun for the players, students, coaches and fans as ever before. Here is the preview for Plano East’s week one contest on the road at Allen High School.

For the Panthers, head coach Joey McCullough has preached about forgetting last season and moving forward. Plano East elected to not scrimmage for week one and liked what he saw from the team during the intrasquad scrimmage. They open the season on the road at Allen, one of the best teams in the state of Texas. DCTF projects the Eagles to finish sixth in the 6A classification, and return eight starters from last season’s 11-1 team.
