Murphy City Council closed out budget season last week by adopting the fiscal year 2020-21 budget and 2020 property tax rate, and then tackled a lengthy agenda.
The council met Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Municipal Complex, 206 N. Murphy Rd.
Agenda items included a public hearing on a patio homes subdivision, proposed community events during the COVID-19 pandemic, awarding a pair of construction contracts and finalizing an agreement to replace the contractor for work on city building projects.
