Three young women from Murphy and one from Wylie have achieved an honor shared with just 6 percent of their fellow Girl Scouts.
Nitya Lohia, Juliet Schaefer and Janice Rotich of Murphy and Carrie Dobbs of Wylie have earned the prestigious Gold Award. To earn this, a girl must be a registered Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador and spend at least 80 hours on a project to better a community.
