The Murphy City Council has received a bit of good news as it continues its budget preparation for fiscal year 2021. And, it’s likely residents won’t see a water rate usage increase from the North Texas Municipal Water District.
According to Chris Ekrut, NewGen Strategies and Solutions consultant, the water district projects that rates will remain stable at least for the next year. Mayor Scott Bradley welcomed Ekrut’s projection as “good news,” which he commented is often rare when they make presentations to council.
