Family provides safe haven for foster children

Over two years ago, after hearing a series of messages at church, Murphy residents Matt and Kristen McCabe felt called to serve children in need.

“There were a series of messages at the church we attend regarding how outspoken the church is on life, but typically doesn’t channel itself into caring for orphans and widows, which is what James 1 talksabout,” Matt said. “(James 1) Talks about true religion is ministering to widows and orphans in distress. So, for us, that hit us between the eyes and we wanted to find out more.”
