As high schools around the country gear up for the start of the 2020 season, there’s only one thing on their minds: have a better season than the last. For some, that means winning more games than the team did the previous year. For others, that means a deep playoff run. Before Hayden’s arrival in 2019, East led the area in passing, went 8-3 and sent 15 players to college on scholarship in 2018. Head Coach Joey McCullough says Hayden is a leader, the hardest worker on the team and tough as nails. Once Hayden learns the offense with a young team, East could have a breakout season in 2020.
