WHS principal abruptly retires

Amid allegations that he cen­sored a school play and that a teacher shared racist posts on social media, Wylie High School Principal Virdie Mont­gomery abruptly announced his retirement last week.

His retirement closes out a career in education of almost 44 years, the past eight as WHS principal.
