Friendships can begin in a variety of ways, but for Murphy residents Kausar Baloch and Laura Biggs, Santa Claus is what brought them together.
Prior to Christmas 2015, Baloch posted on a local social media page that she spotted Santa riding on a Murphy firetruck down her street. Community members soon chimed in with Santa sightings, an annual tradition for the city.
