After hearing comments from 11 residents opposing a proposed 180-unit senior citizens apartment complex, Murphy City Council voted unanimously to deny a zoning change request that would allow construction of the units.
The hearing, an appeal from the Planning and Zoning Commission in which the zoning change was denied, was conducted at the Tuesday, Dec. 3, council meeting.
