After recounting accomplishments of the Class of 2019, the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2019 at Plano East Senior High encouraged classmates to build a successful tomorrow.
The addresses were made Saturday, June 8 at PESH commencement held at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. More than 1,300 students received their diplomas at the ceremony.
Candidates for graduation entered the venue to the strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” played by pianist Maryanne Visconti-Pfeffer and were welcomed in remarks by Senior Class Officer Ishika Shah and Principal George King.
Valedictorian Alex Lin used his speech to point out that PESH classmates embraced their differences and worked together, and that it is up to them to continue cooperating to build a better world.
