6 students awarded scholarships

The six winners of Murphy Chamber of Commerce college scholarships were announced at the May membership luncheon held Tuesday, May 21.

The luncheon was held at Murphy Road Baptist Church and also included a program on Alzheimer’s disease.

Guests were welcomed by Chamber Chairman Carolyn Weeks and the luncheon was sponsored by Amergy Bank.

Scholarship winners are high school senior students who are college bound and live in Murphy. Each recipient received $1,500.
