Varsity comes up short

For a second straight year Plano East was unable to make the softball playoffs.

The chance to qualify was up for the taking in a District 9-6A fourth place tiebreaker.

McKinney Boyd emerged with a 6-1 win and would go on to lose in two games to Wylie in Class 6A Region II bi-district.

Plano East and Boyd tied for fourth at 5-7 in 9-6A. They were 15-17 overall.
