After working hard to find value in all their studies, the top two graduates at Plano East Senior High have been rewarded for their efforts.
Out of 1,316 seniors, Alexander Lin has been declared valedictorian and Shiva Teerdhala salutatorian. The difference in their GPAs was slight – Alexander earned a 4.71, while Shiva obtained a 4.70.
The valedictorian will attend Georgetown University in the fall and is considering a major in international politics.
His extracurriculars tie into his future goals: he helps teach English to Chinese students who are overseas and is fluent in their language as well. He is also learning French and participates in a string ensemble.
