Keep Murphy Beautiful is seeking volunteers for the annual Murphy Trash-Off slated for Saturday, May 18, at The Preserve at Maxwell Creek.
The event, from 10 a.m. until noon, is part of Don’t Mess With Texas/Great American Trash-Off. KMB has participated for about 10 years, the past several spent cleaning up The Preserve.
“It seems to be the hot spot for trash,” KMB President Bailey Ragsdale said. “Debris collects along the creek.”
Volunteers can sign up on the city of Murphy website. They get a commemorative T-shirt on a first-come, first-serve basis, all-beef hotdog grilled by city parks staff and the opportunity to keep their community clean.
