Leopards win big cat battle

LUCAS – Plano East lacrosse’s playoff run was cut short.

They fell 18-6 to Lovejoy in Div. II at Willow Springs Middle School on Monday, April 29.

The Panthers ended up 8-11 overall and 2-4 in Div. II East.

Plano East went 6-5 during non-division. Wins came over Bridge Lacrosse 7-5, Denton Lacrosse 9-4, Fort Worth Country Day 9-6, Prestonwood Christian Academy 11-10, Fort Worth Lacrosse 16-15 and John Paul II 17-9.

Losses came to Frisco 15-7, McKinney 17-3, Gateway Prep 9-6, Greenhill 10-9, Keller 16-5 and Div. II Highland Park 12-2.

In Div. II East, they beat Trinity Valley School 9-7 and Cumberland Academy.

Prosper 18-1, Parish Episcopal 14-11, Lovejoy 18-11 and Plano 10-6 dished out defeats.

Plano East is set to lose Dylan Loveless, Colby Johnson, Tobey Walker, Trenton Darby, Alex Lomonaco, Andrew Guerra, Andy Doan, Matthew Caldwell, Patrick Ames, Benjamin Folsom, Alex Winston and Kaleb Perez to graduation.

Expected back for 2020 are Corbin Hardy, Jack Thompson, Noah Snell, Cooper Thompson, Owen Worley, Benjamin Calderon, Brandon Nemit, Jacob Pelo, Collin Hamilton, Ryan Perez, Noah Wong, Eli Williams, Sebastian Juarez, Harrison Pounds, Michael Kerr, Jordan Pecaut, Dalton Eddy, Nathan Lewis, K’Von Hamilton, Matthew Davis and JT Springsteen.
