Tiebreaker defeat spells doom

For a second straight season Plano East was left out of the softball playoffs.

They had their chances facing McKinney Boyd in a fourth place tiebreaker in District 9-6A.

Boyd emerged with a 6-1 win and would go on to lose in two games to Wylie last week in Class 6A Region II bi-district.

Plano East and Boyd tied for fourth at 5-7 in 9-6A. They were 15-17 overall.

Making the playoffs were Prosper, Plano, Plano West and Boyd.
