Craft beer festival Saturday

by | May 2, 2019 | Latest

Tunes, Tails and Ales only partly describes activities on the schedule for the craft beer festival set for Saturday, May 4 at Murphy Central Park.

The event, in its fourth year, runs from 2 p.m. until the last song is sung as part of an outdoor concert concluding at 8 p.m.

As an added twist, because of the May 4 date, festival organizers are promoting a Star Wars theme as in “May the Fourth be With You.” Attendees are encouraged to wear Star Wars movie costumes.

About 30 craft brewers have signed up to offer their selections for sampling from 2-6:30 p.m. in a covered venue in the park near the Plano Sports Authority building. Samples are two ounces each with a 24-ounce limit with purchase of a $40 ticket that includes a commemorative sampling cup and identification bracelet. A dozen extra samples can be purchased for $2.
