Officials host meetings for residents to learn about bond projects
Murphy residents received updates last week at a pair of informational meetings on projects funded by general obligation bonds approved by voters to fund capital projects throughout the city.
The meetings were held Thursday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 2 at City Hall. At each session, residents viewed displays of project progress and visited 1-on-1 with city officials before a formal presentation followed by a question and answer session.
“I wanted to make sure we had information out there,” City Manager Mike Castro said Thursday evening. “We think we are doing it.”
Residents can go on the city website, murphytx.org, to check the status of projects funded by $21.645 million in bonds approved in a November 2017 election.
