Murphy residents can get an update on the status of capital improvement projects, financed through proceeds from a 2017 bond election, at a pair of public meetings this week.
The sessions are set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 and 9 a.m. Saturday, March 2 in the council chambers of Murphy City Hall, 206 N. Murphy Road.
Both sessions start with displays and exhibits in the foyer that describe the projects in general terms. Staff members will be available during this open session to orient visitors to the projects and answer questions.
After the formal displays, a presentation on the status of the projects will start, hosted by City Manager Mike Castro. Among those making presentations are Public Services Director Tim Rogers, Controller Ernest Bannister, IT Director Taylor Prentice and Bond Project Manager Ken Lee.
