Murphy city council was briefed on more information related to the city’s water system.
At the Tuesday, Feb. 5 city council meeting Public Works Director Tim Rogers presented details of work done by his department based on recommendations from a 6-month study by Valor Water Analytics.
The results of the $99,000 study were originally presented to council in November 2018 and were utilized to identify water loss and to reduce billing discrepancies.
Murphy is examining its water system due to a 35 percent difference between the amount of water purchased from North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) and the amount billed to customers.
