A tall task, in the form of state ranked Sachse, awaited Plano East in the first round.

They squared off Tuesday, Feb. 12 in Class 6A Region II bi-district at Richardson.

“Our team has worked hard and played some tough competition all year to qualify for this playoff spot,” Plano East head coach Cherilyn Morris said. “I believe the schedule we have faced will serve us well in a playoff atmosphere because the girls have become accustomed to every game having a great deal of importance.”

Sachse came into the contest 30-4 overall and the District 10-6A champions at 14-0.
