Murphy Chamber of Commerce honored citizens and business owners for their service to the community in 2018 at its annual awards banquet held Friday, Jan. 25.
The banquet was at Hyatt Place in Garland and included a fundraising auction and raffle.
Outgoing Chamber Chairman Celso Martinez welcomed Murphy City Council members and staff, and recognized past chamber chairmen who were in attendance and the 2018 chamber board. Police Chief Arthur Cotten offered the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance.
“It would not have been as enjoyable to be chairman without these people,” Martinez said of the 2018 board.
