Murphy Police are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday evening, Jan. 20, at the 7-Eleven convenience store on N. Murphy road.
Police Chief Arthur Cotten reported that two suspects entered the store about 9:25 p.m. Sunday and demanded that the store clerk hand over money from the cash register.
The two suspects fled around the building and it was not known of they left the area in a vehicle, Cotten said.
The suspects were wearing hoodies, had their faces covered and exhibited a handgun during the robbery, the chief reported.
