Panthers qualify for playoffs after short layoff

by | Nov 15, 2018 | Sports

The clock hit 0:00 and the fans rushed the field forming a mob at the 35-yard line, chanting “playoffs, playoffs, playoffs!”

The Plano East Panthers had beaten Dallas Jesuit 58-44 in District 9-6A and secured their spot in the playoffs finishing 8-2 on the season.

Making the playoffs means so much more to this Plano East team than just being able to play more games – they have proved everyone wrong. Going into the season they were looked at as a team with an outside chance of making the playoffs, and now they are second place in the 10-6A only behind Allen and look to go far into the Class 6A Div. I Region II playoffs.
