There is a little something for everybody, live music, arts and crafts vendors, children’s games, custom cars, hurtling pumpkins and fireworks at the 10th annual Murphy Maize Days celebration Saturday, Sept. 29.
Maize Days, hosted by the city of Murphy, opens at 10 a.m. in Murphy Central Park and runs until almost 10 p.m. as a fireworks show concludes the festivities.
A free parking shuttle service will run from Kimbrough Stadium to the park.
Open from 10 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., children’s activities are centered under a 60-by-60 tent and take up the largest portion of the festival. Offered under the tent are face painting, roaming entertainment and yard games. Expanding from there are bounce houses, small carnival rides, zip line, gaga ball, trackless train, a game truck for teens and more.
