First day attendance numbers last week increased for Wylie Independent School District and dropped for Plano ISD.
WISD started classes with 830 more students than it did a year ago while PISD tallied 732 fewer students.
The Wylie district counted 16,111 students Thursday, Aug. 16, the first day of classes for the 2018-’19 term. In 2017, that number was 15,281.
PISD first day enrollment on Monday, Aug. 13, was 53,502 students. A year ago, the district counted 54,234 students.
