Plano East went two rounds deep in the Texas High School Lacrosse League playoffs.

The fourth seed Panthers started things off with a 8-7 overtime win against seventh seed Hebron at Williams Stadium in Plano.

“Our guys didn’t give up at any point, trading goals with them all game (they score, we score, they score, we score, etc.) until we got the game winner in overtime,” Panthers head coach Nathan Farebee said. “Our defense, and goalie especially, shined all night while the offense worked to get good looks,”

Plano East pulled out the win on a Collin Hamilton goal off the assist from Patrick Ames during an extra man opportunity. Their only lead was in overtime.

Filling up the stat sheet were Alex Weis (five goals and an assist), Ames (four assists), Jake Ryan (goal and assist) and Matt Caldwell (goal).
