The grand champion Charolais cross steer shown by Skylar Grimes drew a winning bid of $6,875 at the livestock auction that concluded the 51st annual Wylie Show and Sale.
The event for FFA and 4-H members in Wylie showcased months long livestock projects and was held March 13-17 at F.O. Birmingham Ag Center. Show animals were judged throughout the event and top market animals were sold at auction.
In the show ring were cattle, hogs, lambs, goats, chickens and rabbits. Top awards were grand champion and reserve champion for livestock projects and for showmanship.
