by | Mar 15, 2018 | Education

A dozen Great Job Winners whose artwork will be displayed on solar trash/recycling bins in Murphy received certificates of their award from Mayor Scott Bradley. Pictured are, from left, Ava Arvizu, Chlie Young, Nivriti Boyanapalli, Allen Legat, Jaden Abraham, Kaitlyn Idichandy, Joshua Roy, Riley Welock, Aarrav Lakdawala, Odette Saenz and Katie Pilgrim.

Winners in the fifth annual Recycle Truck Art Contest were recognized and awarded prizes last week at the Murphy City Council Meeting.

Developed as an educational partnership between Keep Murphy Beautiful and the city’s trash collection provider, the contest has proved to be fun for students and a way for them to engage with the city council, KMB Co-Chairman Bailey Ragsdale reported.

Students in grades kindergarten through 10 who live in or attend Murphy school are eligible to participate.
